State Parks

We've got a lot and they're such gems! Deep Creek Lake State Park has a lovely beach area with roped-off swimming and playgrounds for the kiddos. They also have a Discovery Center with animals and occasional hands-on events/presentations - great for rainy days! Swallow Falls State Park is one of my favorites, especially for pictures. It has three waterfalls, looks beautiful in any weather and can be some easy hiking for all ages. Garretttrails.org is also a great resource for our parks and other places for outdoor recreation.
