With so many lodging and adventuring options here, it’s easy for you and your guests to extend the celebration into a multi-day affair. Rent houses together, go on boat rides, explore the state parks, eat pizza and ice cream, and get away!
2. You can get away multiple times! If you don’t live close to Deep Creek, you’ll likely need to visit before the wedding day to meet with vendors and finalize details. Make a wedding-planning visit a getaway, too.

Offers a magical, woodland experience and unique lodging. A village of tiny cabins just waiting for adventure, you can find BMR tucked in a hillside filled with trees just off 219 in McHenry.

Farmhouse Fete

These ladies are premier! They not only KNOW WEDDINGS, they also offer floral and event design, along with decorative rentals. In fall 2018, I saw them transform Swallow Falls State Park into an “art installation” for a wedding - it was impressive. Have you seen the yellow house right on 42 between Friendsville and McHenry? That’s Fete!

Mountain Flour Baking Company

Head baker Pam soars when it comes to sweets! Cakes, cake pops, pies, cookies, cupcakes, fudge…I’ve tasted them all and they’re all delicious, all the time! The bakery is located in the Shop n Save plaza in McHenry.
