Garrett County and Deep Creek friends!

I visited one of our favorites this morning, @therollingpinbakerydeli in Accident! Their baked goods were stocked, donuts were smelling delicious ANDDD I got some info on their next adventure...moving into the Annie’s Kitchen building!

They’ll be in their new location in about a month and they’re expanding their offerings, YAY! Bulk food will be available for purchase as well as sit-down eating. Who wants to meet me there for some good food when they open!?

Have you been to Branch Bender Cidery in Accident yet!? The girls and I had a picnic and I brought home a bottle of their “Cove Run” hard cider. Sunshine, a breeze in the air, and a quaint, eclectic farm atmosphere by Chester and Trish...you must go! The farm is just 15 minutes north of the lake. Greetings from the front seat of our car! 😎 My oldest is now sitting in the front seat, taking selfies and controlling the radio...it honestly feels kind of weird! This is actually my kiddos and I on our way home from Pennsylvania yesterday. We escaped for a little Easter getaway to visit family and even though it was warmer there, I still missed here. Our corner of Maryland, our Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County...🥰 My photography business over at @jessicafike and my passion project here at @fortheloveofdeepcreek ...I do them for the love of Deep Creek! It’s as simple as that. I love it here, we love it here...so many others love it here and so many more have yet to discover that they’re going to love it too. It looked like winter today in the #tundraofmaryland and even though my lovely friend @njgwhite has a smile on her face as she walks her dog in the snow shower, I think it’s safe to say many of we Garrett Countians were not super excited about this spring storm. THINGS TO DO: The Fork Run Recreation Area on Shingle Camp Road has become a favorite outdoor spot for our family! We don’t go super often, but when we need an easy outdoor activity, this is always on our list. The kids especially love the climbing boulders! Only a 5-minute walk from the parking lot and you’ll find these giant rocks in the middle of the forest that present such a fun exploring and climbing spot for the kiddos. BREAKING NEWS! Annie’s Kitchen Country Restaurant in Accident is closing! ☹️ BUTTT @therollingpinbakerydeli is moving in! It seems this is bittersweet news for many because Annie’s is loved for their big, homestyle diner meals and baked goods. But The Rolling Pin Bakery has been an awesome addition to our area and this move will allow them to do more goodness...like make donuts!
